Welcome to Kwena Heights
Kwena Heights School & Green Innovation Hub is a forward-looking boarding secondary and vocational institution in Molepolole, Botswana, designed to prepare young people with the knowledge, practical skills, and entrepreneurial mindset needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
At the heart of Kwena Heights is a Living & Learning Lab—an environment where education goes beyond the classroom. Students combine strong academic foundations with hands-on training in technology, engineering, renewable energy, smart agriculture, water management, circular economy, and entrepreneurship. They learn by doing, experimenting, creating, and developing practical solutions to real-world challenges.
Our Eco-Digital Innovation Hub brings together renewable energy, smart agriculture, water-efficiency technologies, digital innovation, and waste-to-value initiatives. Students can work with technologies such as IoT-enabled irrigation, soil-moisture monitoring, data tracking, coding, renewable-energy systems, and resource-efficient production. This approach connects education directly to challenges affecting Botswana and the wider region—including climate resilience, water scarcity, food security, environmental sustainability, and youth employment.
Through our partnership with Kwena Found Global, the non-profit operating entity supporting the project, Kwena Heights builds strategic partnerships with government, universities, businesses, technology providers, development organisations, and international funders. These collaborations strengthen skills development, innovation, research, entrepreneurship, and community impact.
Kwena Heights is being developed as a model for green, inclusive, technology-enabled education in Africa—connecting learning with enterprise, sustainability, and community development while supporting Botswana's transition towards a greener and more resilient economy.
